Operation Red Sleigh
ABOUT US
Operation Red Sleigh, Inc. is a non-profit organization that began in 2000. Local law enforcement including NC Highway Patrol started the organization to assist families in Randolph County who were in need. Our organization is given names by the school system's counselors and we help underprivileged children in Randolph County who will not have a Christmas. We raise money throughout the year and provide the children with gifts and a hot meal for the family the day the presents are handed out prior to Christmas.
The first year we received donations, had a silent auction, held raffles and spaghetti dinners to raise funds to buy Christmas presents for 62 needy children. From the first year to now we have expanded our reach to assit over 400 children. Our fund raising efforts now include The Sleigh Ride and Reindeer Run. Because of all the generous donations in 2022, we were able to provide gifts for 376 children. 21 years under our belts and Operation red Sleigh, inc has assisted over 3100 families with toys, clothing and food at Christmas.
